project overhaul
sem break log: day 5
it's been another slow day at home, with my list of activities extending to the tv, ps2, pc, eating, or sleeping. same old same old. *yawn* i'm starting to get tired of the sem break already.
but if there's anything to remedy an idle mind, it'll be idle hands. meaning, just have something to do. and with that, i've got just the solution.
enter project overhaul.
that's my little nickname for my blog renovation activity for this sem break. and today i've officially taken the first steps towards remodelling proper. i've returned to w3schools and looked over the css tutorial once again (though i won't profess to knowing anything more than the basics). i've tried some of the application stuff on the site, and saved the reference list. i also saved a copy of the text file of my current tabulas stylesheet, which is officially a disaster, to say the least. i also downloaded firefox *finally* so i got to see the crapfest my layout becomes in non-css-compliant settings. my pictures are arranged and ready for uploading. i've also got my basic concept site all planned out in my head. i fiddled with photoshop a bit, to see if some of my plans would turn out ok, but it looks like some of them would be near-impossible to accomplish with my level of skill, or would at least be very difficult to pull off.
unfortunately, though it would seem that i have a ton of time to burn on this, there really isn't. i've got other awaiting tasks, some more imperative than this one. and its not like i'll be spending the whole vacation at home. friday, i'll be trooping off to manila to retrieve classcards, repay money, and scour rob place for some needed supplies. next week, my high school friends and i *hopefully* will be having an out-of-town get-together. and again, knowing me, i'll probably be putting this off indefinitely for tv and ps2 escapades.
i'm running it through my head, and i hope i can look forward to finishing this little stint by next week. it'll take me much more to complete project overhaul than an online tutorial, tons of group pictures, and an undefined idea in my head.
but at least, it's a start.
